Who stole my MOJO?

Happy Memorial Day! I am finally dragging myself off the couch after a few days of complete laziness. I am not one to lay around, but this weekend, I just couldn't get motivated to do anything! The end of the school year has me fried! I have not been able to get any crafting done! Just couldn't conjure up my creativity! So, I apologize for my blog-cation, but it was much needed!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Clean and Simple.

For the background of my card, I rubbed the Versa Mark Pad over the texture plate. When I ran it through the Big Shot, it put the ink on the pressed part of the image. I sprinkled clear embossing powder of the whole thing and then ran the heat gun over it!

Stamps: Word Play (on sale!)
Ink and Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, Versamark
Other: Big Shot, Backgrounds Embossing Plate, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Basic Black Satin Ribbon, Real Red brads

Don't forget- only 1 more day to take advantage of Stampin' Up's Scrapbook Sale!

Word Play

Good Morning Blog Friends!

Today, I am featuring my favorite stamp set on the Stampin' Up National Scrapbook Month Sale list. Whoo! That's a mouth full! LOL!

Word Play is hands down the most used stamp set in my arsenal. Why? Because of it's versatility. It has a sentiment for every occasion. And, not only is it a sentiment, but it's also a piece of art. Sometimes, we don't want to spend our money on the word sets. We want to get more bang for our buck with something cute and fun. But, then we need the words to go with it and were kicking ourself for not purchasing the words! But, Word play offers both. It can serve as your cards focal point or your scrapbook pages title or subtitle! I love this set! I think that's the 4th time I have said that this week!

Anyway, let's get to it! I used the sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

And the purplisious challenge at CR84FN.

I chose to go with the wedding stamp because June is always full of weddings!

Stamps: Word Play

Ink and Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Lovely Lilac, Crumb Cake

Other: Rich Razzleberry Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Designer Buttons, twine, Big Shot, Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, Scalloped Square Punch, Scallop Border Punch, Ornament Punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Basic Rhinestones.

Look at all these stamps that come in the set. They are each a beautiful piece of art, don't you think?

A quick scan through My Pictures and I found all of these just from the last few months that I have created with this stamp set:

This stamp set has a whopping 12 stamps in it, one for every occasion! It truly is the stamp set to have in the catalog. And, this month, it's 30% off. That's a fabulous discount! Make sure you get yours before the end of May, that's next Tuesday people!

Gotta have it??

Grunge Rock

Yep, I'm gonna say it again today! I love this set! LOL! Today's card features another card included on Stampin' Up's National Scrapbook Month Sale list!

I chose to use the color scheme (RAINBOW) from JUGS today as well as the OCC's challenge to use a frame!

I love how this card turned out. The black frame was done by cutting two scalloped squares on my Big Shot, tracing the white base on the back, trimming it out and then adhering them together at the correct length. Yea, a little tricky... LOL! But worth it! Doesn't it look kind of biker-ish?? Like black leather and rhinestones??

I free handed the guitars in rainbow order. I had planned to cut them out, but they were actually really easy to stamp correctly. So I stamped them again and just cut out the base part and popped it up. And, of course, added some more bling!

Stamps: Grunge Rock, Fabulous Phrases

Ink and Paper: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Lovely Lilac, Basic Black

Other: Big Shot, Scallop Square die, Basic Rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals, Tiny Tag punch, white twine

This was one of the first stamp sets I ordered last year when the new catalog came out. All my samples are actually pretty girly... What can I say, I have three girls!

Printed Petals

Happy Monday! Today, I am featuring the fun stamp set called Printed Petals. I promised that all week, i would feature stamp sets that are included on this month's 30% off list, and Printed Petals is included! I love this set! (I will probably say that every day!)

My colors are very unique today and come from the inspiration at Diva Coffee Break Color Challenge. Sketch is from Clean and Simple.

I did a grey monochromatic background so that my flower would pop off. It reminds me of those black and white pictures that have one part colored.

Stamps: Printed Petals,

Ink and Paper: Basic Grey (DSP Stack), Melon Mambo, Old Olive

Other: Basic Grey Satin Ribbon, Modern Label Punch, Big Designer Buttons, Scallop Edge Border Punch.

This big blossom is my favorite stamp in the set! It is so pretty! As you can see though, there are a variety of flowers in this set.

Here are a few more samples of the Printed Petals Stamp Sets that I did last summer. If you want details on any of these projects, you can navigate to the July 2010 link on the right side of my blog.

This one also features Word Play which is also on sale!

So, this stamps set is 30% off! It is a great versatile set to have. The big flower inks so well and is a bold image when stamped. If you are interested in purchasing this set, you can do so on my Demonstrator Page. It comes in clear and wood mount.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Lime? Yes, Lime!

This week at The Color throwdown, the main color is lime green? What? I generally steer clear of anything that is lime green! Bu, the design team's challenges were so beautiful, I had to give it a try! And, I am so glad I did!
I also used this super fun sketch from Paper Pal Arts. I always love sketches with stacked images!

My picture doesn't really give the lime the justice it deserves. it really pops off the card.

This lime green color is a retired SU color, and for the life of me, i can't remember what it's called! I found it in my scraps files! Sorry...

Stamps: Fabulous Florets

Ink and paper: Basic Grey, Basic Black, Lime Green (don't know the name!), Wild Wasabi DSP, Newsprint, Versamark

Other: Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Stampin Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today. Tomorrow, I will start my week long feature of the stamps on sale this month for SU's celebration of National Scrapbook Month! See you then!

Scrapbook Saturday!

Hey y'all! Another Saturday, another Scrapbook page! :-)

I adore this sketch from Sketchy Thursday!

I do not adore this picture of me though! But, it so sums up my life these days. Me, run ragged, looking rough, my kids sucking every once from me! Yea, I know that sounds horrible, but I ain't gonna lie- they are a handful! But, like any other mother, I love them! I love what they have brought to my life and what they bring out in me. Being their mom is amazing... even thought I count down the minutes every day till bed time!!

I ran my chipboard pointy finger through the Big Shot with the Lots of Dots Embossing folder. I was being lazy and didn't want to spend alot of time on it, but I think my shortcut turned out cute!

Another short cut was cutting the title from a piece of pattern paper and popping each word up! Easy-peasy!

This month is National Scrapbook month, did you know? And, of course, Stampin' Up has chosen some fabulous stamp sets for scrapbooking to mark down 30%! That's quite a significant discount! This week, I will feature some of those stamp sets to help inspire you to use them! If you want to check out all the details, CLICK HERE!!! The list includes some of my very favorite sets!

Hope you have a great weekend! I'll be back tomorrow with a zesty card!

SCIC 52- Saying Goodbye...for a while!

Good morning! This week's challenge at Stampin' Celebration is a little bitter sweet for me. We are all taking a summer break, which is much needed. But, SCIC has always been one of my favorite challenge blogs and I love the things Krystal comes up with. So, I will miss her beautiful inspiration this summer!

But, this week we have a bright sunny combo to celebrate our 1 year anniversary!

CCMC151- Sketch Challenge!

This week's challenge at Create With Connie and Mary is a great sketch!

I wanted to play with a new stamp I got this week called Land of the Free, so I rearranged some of the elements.

We have a high military population in San Antonio, so this card seemed appropriate. Notice the plane in the background with the banner? Ha! Kind of funny, I think!

Stamps: Land of the Free, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink and Paper: Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Real Red, Basic Grey, Designer Series Stacks

Other: Word Window Punch, Scalloped Circle Punch, 3/4" circle punch, White Gel Pen, Black Stampin Write Marker

So, what can you do with this simple sketch? We want to see your creations. Stop over at CCMC and see what the other designers have come up with and then show us yours!

Thanks for stopping by!

Grad Case!

I loved this card by Lorri Heiling and had to copy it in our local high school's colors!

It's also another Stamp Club project for May!

I just don't use this owl punch enough! he is so stinkin' cute! His wings were done with the Scallop Oval Punch. I cut it a little less than half way down.

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Congratulations Wheel

Ink and Paper: Night of Navy, More Mustard, Whisper White

Other: Owl Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Standard Wheel Handle, Basic Black 1/4" Taffeta Ribbon, Night of Navy Grosgrain Ribbon
