Hello, Lovely

Hello everybody! I am spending this week and next week (and part of last week) creating samples for this summer's Stampin' Up convention sample boards. So, I haven't had much time to create anything new for you to see now. I thought I'd take some time and show you samples I made last May (for convention) again because some of the stamps are now retiring!

Hello, Lovely was a shock when I saw it on the retired list. I love this stamp set. And, guess what, it's actually been marked down! Wood Mount is on sale for $19.77 (US) Clear mount is not on sale, but it is still available.

So, here are my Display Board samples that were made last May:

Make sure you snag it before it's gone! There is LESS THAN A WEEK to grab up the remaining retired items. And there are some really good things on there!! Hurry!

Project Life by Stampin' Up- Easter (AWW Blog Hop)

Hop photo BlogHopButton05-MayARTISANHOP_zps123d068a.jpg
Hello and welcome back to the weekly Artisan Blog Hop! This week, I am showing one way to incorporate Project Life by Stampin' Up into Scrapbooks! I had a bunch of photos from this past Easter and found the Project Life Pages a perfect way to get them all on.

One thing you will notice is the large photos that I cut up and divided into the pockets. I've seen this alot online and really wanted to try it.

I also used my Blendability Markers on my Easter images!

So, as you can see above, I printed a large 6" X 12" photo and cut it apart. The easiest way I found to do this was to create a photo box in MDS and print it through Stampin' Up's Printing Service.

This is super simple! Open a 12" X 12" page, insert two photo boxes and resize them to 6" X 12". Drag and drop your photos!

I then created some DSP cards that would fit in the pockets. I used the square punch, sized them to the PL pocket sizes (4" X 6", 4" square and 2" X 3"). There are also some template pages that you can use to do this without using the punches, but I was in a hurry and don't have them yet, so I  just used the punch. I filled them with the Everything Easter DSP.

I also wanted to  make sure my pictures were the right sizes. You know when you print a picture and you can't trim it to the right size? Frustrating! So, I inserted some text boxes again, this time sizing them according to the pockets, and inserted my photos.

I  printed them all thought SU and the quality is amazing! When I got them, I cut them all out and had them in stacks ready to insert into the page protectors.
( I SWEAR my carpet is not that ugly in real life!! UHG! It looks like a gross color in this picture!!! LOL!!!)

The little Easer pictures are from the same download as the DSP. Now, you could print them in color if you wanted, but I really wanted to play with my Blendabilities. So, I just inserted a bunch of images on a white 12 x 12 page and had them printed as well. The colored beautifully with the Blendabilities!

I used a few sneak peek products as well... I couldn't help myself!! LOL! The File Folder Framelit (I think that's what it's called) and a new stamp set I got on the cruise called What's Up.

Ok, so there you have it! I different way to create your Project Life pages! You can really get exactly what you want when you turn to MDS to create those just right cards and embellishments!

Ok, you're now off to my friend Jane Lee. I can't wait to see what she has cooked up this week! Thanks for stopping by!

Catalog Kick Off Party

Good morning! It's back to work today after a long and wonderful weekend! Saturday morning, I held my annual Catalog Kickoff party and thought I'd share with you some pictures!

I was lucky enough to win the mustache framelit on the Cruise, so I used it to make a little display. I also make lots of In Color samples for everyone to see.

Too bad my picture is out of focus! I found this saying on Pinterest somewhere and recreated it using  the In Colors.

A few more display samples along with the star of the show, the 14-15 Stampin' Up Catalog!

I had to blur a few samples- they are for the upcoming convention displays!! :-)

I made several Hamburger Boxes and wrapped up a few old spools with the beautiful In Color Ribbon.

A perk of being in my downline or in my club? A spiral bound catalog (in pink of course!!)

Ribbon Share sign ups (I will post those here next week!)

I also gave anyone who signed up for club or to host a workshop a free in color ink pad!
A make and take sample using Just My Type. It's a copy of a sample we saw at the SU Catalog Premier, I just changed the colors.
A few Just My Type display samples. This is a fun set!
And the In Color Bookmark Make and Take.
Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures once the even began! I always forget! It was so crazy!
Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back tonight with the Artisan Blog Hop!
Have a great Tuesday!
